I've Got It!

Nora Josh and I took in a swell Yo La Tengo set at Webster Hall Sunday night. Besides playing Sugarcube (love) they ended with "My Little Corner of the World"

Terrific, really.

Stamps and Airports

My friend Chad has a way of making your day, even when he is on a crappy layover.

This Is Hardcore

Jarvis, 04/23 at Irving Plaza. He really kicked it out with Black Magic. No Pulp songs, but a great acoustic cover of State Trooper by Bruce Springsteen. Witty, dashing...ah, Jarvis. I feel I have loved you since I was 14.

A Day at Shea

Did you know you can get decent Mets tickets (meaning NOT bleacher seats) for a mere $9.00? It's literally the same price as the beer you drink when you are inside. Baseball is the most perfect way to spend a lazy weekend afternoon in the summer.

The Mets lost 9-6, but everyone I was with (save Josh) was cheering for the Braves.

The guys you can sort of make out behind Josh in this pic were rowdy Southern boys cheering for the ATL. They really liked to do the tomahawk chop, much to the ire of the giant New York fans sitting all around them. Naturally, we loved them.

Gorilla Vs. Banana

Some polaroids of my Sunday:

This dude scared the bananas out of me walking from Spice to Billy's in Chelsea. I literally thought it was a man coming at me.

The iron-work (on a gate to a Chelsea piede-a-terre) stood out on a squeaky block. A little sinister, no?

Paying It Forward

Reggie and Richard are not two people I know in the BFF way. But Reggie makes a mean Jamison shot and Pickle Juice chaser and tends bar at my favoritest spot, and Richard is one of those people you meet once and are bowled over by his nice-ness. So, these treasures have been on my desktop all week.

BTW, the Mr. Move sticker was applied to my phone in a less than sober state. It's ok though. I like it.

Organiz-ized

My system of organization is completely questionable. I probably keep Post-It in business. I could tear through about 500 of these babies a year.

Next use: Flip Book.

Last Night, She Said....

I got married when I was 23 to a boy I met when I was 18. I am maybe the least helpful person to have by your side when breaking up.
